Oil paintings: landscapes, portraits, figures and abstract themes. Geoffrey Elder’s paintings are meticulously detailed, and embrace recurring universal themes, such as life and death, religion, music, love, and human rights. (Tibetan and Aboriginal rights are two recent themes). He has exhibited internationally before settling in Western Australia in 1980. Born in England, he has traveled widely, living in Asia for three years from 1968, journeying through India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand and Bali. It was during this period that he first began to seriously paint. Most paintings in the portfolio are for sale.
