European Graduate School videos on YouTube
The European Graduate School (EGS) Media and Communications Studies program, facilitating creative breakthroughs and theoretical paradigm shifts, brings together master’s and doctoral students with the visionaries and philosophers of the media world who inspire learning about art, philosophy, communications, film, literature, internet, web and cyberspace studies from a cross-disciplinary perspective.

European Graduate School
Established in the Swiss mountains in 1994 by a non-profit foundation, The European Graduate School / EGS comprises two divisions: Arts, Health & Society (AHS) and Philosophy, Art & Critical Thought (PACT). The AHS Division↗, founded by Paolo Knill↗, centers on the expressive arts, specifically addressing coaching, therapy, education, conflict transformation, and peacebuilding. Founded by Wolfgang Schirmacher↗, the PACT Division↗ (formerly Media & Communication) addresses, as its title suggests, philosophy, art, and critical thought, and within those fields, architecture, film, literature, digital design, music, psychoanalysis, and political thought.

The Nexus Institute
The Nexus Institute brings together the world’s foremost intellectuals, artists and politicians, and has them think and talk about the questions that really matter. How are we to live? How can we shape our future? Can we learn from our past? Which values and ideas are important, and what are their premises?
In doing so, the Nexus Institute places itself at the centre of the Western cultural and philosophical debate. In the best European humanist tradition, its annual Conferences and Lectures, open to all and visited by over a thousand people, have become a platform for informed intellectual debate on pressing contemporary issues. The same spirit of tolerance and erudition is upheld in the Nexus Symposia, Masterclasses and publications.
